Sruthi Sundaram, MD, MPH is dual board certified in internal medicine and nephrology.
She received her medical degree from University of Cincinnati in Cincinnati, OH. Prior to this, she completed a master’s in public health in health services administration, also at University of Cincinnati. Following completion of her medical degree, she pursued residency training in Internal Medicine at the University of Nevada Reno residency program in Reno, NV. She was Chief Resident during her third year of residency and helped develop the academic didactics half day for the residency program in collaboration with faculty from several institutions. After completing training in internal medicine, she pursued nephrology subspecialty Fellowship at Emory University in Atlanta, GA, which she completed in June 2025.
She joined Summit Nephrology Medical Group in September 2025. She is proficient in treatment of chronic kidney disease secondary to hypertension, diabetes, glomerulonephritis, plasma cell disorders, and inherited kidney diseases such as polycystic kidney disease. She is also proficient in treatment of electrolyte abnormalities and medical management and prevention of recurrent kidney stones. She also manages patients on hemodialysis and home dialysis as well as inpatient nephrology care.
In her personal time, she engages in cat rescue work, collaborating with local rescue organizations in the area and helping foster animals in need. She also enjoys music and art.
